Summary and implications

Tests shall feature longer passages, trickier multiple-choice-questions choices and no hanyu pinyin. There will also be more emphasis on application and understanding of the Chinese language on day-to-day basis e.g. news report, current affairs, argumentative essays to prepare our students for the real world. Hence, less dependence of textbooks and spelling tests.
